Presley Norton Museum

The museum is located in a building of classical Spanish architecture, and its name pays tribute to the work of archaeologist Presley Norton Yoder. He shared his findings so that all people can learn about the life and traditions of coastal Ecuadorians through a valuable collection of archeology that includes jewelry and ornaments. It contains 8,000 cultural objects whose aesthetic quality dazzle with beauty. The museum has an audiovisual room that presents in a cinematic form everything this museum contains and explains a brief history of the pre-Hispanic cultures of Valdivia (4,000 B.C.-1,500 B.C.) and Machalilla (1,500 B.C.-800 B.C.).)
